UK malt manufacturer Muntons has appointed Neil Pearmain as its ingredient sales and marketing director.
Pearmain, who joined the Stowmarket-based company 26 years ago, will be responsible for the marketing and sales activity for the company’s range of malt-based products and ingredients.
He has held a variety of positions within Muntons’ logistics, administration and export divisions, and was appointed to the board in 2005 as supply chain and logistics director. Pearmain is also director of Muntons Ingredients Asia and chairman of the firm’s Pension Trustees.
He said: “I am really looking forward to taking on this new role and returning to the commercial side of the business. We have a great sales team, who fully understand the markets in which we operate and the needs of our customers. We see this as vital for the future of our business and I am excited by the challenges ahead.”
The company has also revealed that Pearmain will be appointed to Muntons’ board within its US operations.
Alan Ridealgh, group managing director, said: “I am confident that Neil has the necessary qualities and experience to successfully undertake this new role, with his in-depth knowledge of Muntons and first-hand experience of the markets that Muntons supplies, ensuring he will continue to build on Muntons’ commercial successes.”
