Apuro has unveiled its new Friul juice extractors and is marketing them as a way for bakery retailers, cafés and coffee shops to encourage healthy eating by offering pure fruit or vegetable juice. The machines can also be used to juice vegetables as a base for cold soup.

Two models are available from Apuro. The Lota is the smaller version, and can process 150kg of fruit or vegetables per hour with a typical yield of 60-75%. The larger Alpha model can process over 220kg per hour, with a typical yield of 65-75%.

Both models have a double shredder disc for maximum efficiency and a food pusher to hold the food in place and prevent slipping, and are supplied with a full one-year parts and labour warranty.
