A whole week dedicated to celebrating craft bakeries has kicked off today.

Almost 400 bakeries have signed up to the annual event, equating to over 1000 shops which will be making the most of the seven day celebration.

TV Baking stars Tom and Henry Herbert are supporting the campaign, and this morning (Monday 29 September) the brothers have been promoting the cause by doing 24 back to back interviews with media outlets, including BBC radio.

While raising awareness about the importance of supporting craft bakeries, the week will also raise money for the Make a Wish Foundation, this year’s chosen charity.

Bakers have been provided with relevant POS for the event, including edible cupcake toppers featuring the Make A Wish logo to help raise support.

Social media users have also been tweeting their support of the week with the hashtag #CBW14.
