Yummie Bakes, the Co Antrim-based frozen goods bakery, has secured its first Great British contract with foodservice-provider Sodexo.
The company will supply its award-winning shortbread to Sodexo clients after a successful pitch organised by food and drink marketing consultancy Levercliff.
The artisan bakery makes and blast-freezes a range of biscuits, cookies, scones and cakes created with locally sourced ingredients. Established in 2012, the company has established a strong customer base in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.
Anna Taggart, founder of Yummie Bakes, said: “I am absolutely delighted to have won this, my first sales contract in Britain, with such a prestigious customer.
“My mission in starting the bakery was to fuse together the uncompromised values of traditional Northern Irish home baking with the modern convenience of a ready-to-bake product.”
