Peter’s Foodservice has acquired the Farnham-based gourmet hot dog business Mom’s Fabulous Foods.
Peter’s food-to-go offering will expand as a result of the deal, and Mom’s will gain brand access to Peter’s customer base across retail, foodservice, stadiums, caterers and fast food outlets.
Mom’s Fabulous Foods’ annual turnover is in excess of £2 million. Its hot dog ranges are supplied to stadiums, travel hubs, pub groups and fast food outlets across Wales.
Caerphilly-based Peter’s is known for its savoury pastries – it produces products for its own brand, Peter’s, as well as Seriously Tasty, and licensed brands including Heinz and Bisto.
Further opportunities
David Peek, finance director for Peter’s Foodservice, said: “We are delighted to reach this agreement and further expand our product offering, especially in the fast growing food-to-go sector… We are very excited to create further opportunities together after completing the acquisition.”
Nick Pagett, founder of Mom’s Fabulous Foods, who will remain as Mom’s managing director, said: “Having worked with Peter’s for several years and seeing the growth of Mom’s within Peter’s, I am delighted to have reached this agreement, which will be a catalyst to further growth.”
