There is still time left for bakers to register for Craft Bakers’ Week.

Now in its seventh year, the event, which is organised by the Craft Bakers’ Association (CBA) and Scottish Bakers, aims to raise awareness about craft baking and takes place from 28 September to 3 October.

The organisers are also supporting the Make A Wish charity for the second year running and hope to beat the fundraising total of last year.

There’s a charge of £10 for a single shop rising to £50 for businesses with more than 20 shops and each bakery will receive POS material including posters, balloons and bunting.

All participating bakeries will be added to the website, so customers can find out which bakers are taking part.

Mike Holling, executive director of the Craft Bakers’ Association, said:  “Craft Bakers’ Week gives the craft baker a fantastic opportunity to showcase their skills, their products and a chance to highlight their importance to the UK high street. And, at the same time, it means the industry can get behind a very worthwhile cause.”
