High street coffee chain Pret A Manger has announced that the Android Pay service is now available in all of its UK stores.
Pret A Manger customers in the UK can now pay for their purchases using Android Pay, up to the value of £250.
All of Pret’s 310 UK shops have been accepting contactless payments since the technology first became available around seven years ago, and 65% of all card transactions at the coffee chain are made using contactless technology.
Last month Pret’s financial results for the 52 weeks to 31 December 2015 showed group sales were up 13.9% year on year (YOY) to £676.2m (+7.5% like-for-like). Ebitda was up 14.5% to £84.3m.
