Amazon has extended its express Prime Now delivery service to new areas in the north and east of England.
Customers in these areas, which include St Albans and Stevenage in Hertfordshire, can pay £6.99 for one-hour delivery on a range of 15,000 products.
Elsewhere, people in Edgware, Enfield and Watford can access two-hour, same-day delivery slots between 8am and midnight – free of charge for Prime members.
The online retailer has been expanding its Prime Now offering since launching in London in June last year. It is now available to more than 30% of the UK population.
Jason Weston, director of Amazon Prime Now service in the UK, said: “Prime Now is our fastest delivery option ever and we are delighted to bring it to new areas. Even more Prime customers can get the items they need quickly delivered right to the door in under an hour.
He added: “Customers love the convenience of delivery straight to their door.”
In February, Morrisons announced that hundreds of its products will be available to Amazon Prime Now customers.
