Denbighshire-based Henllan Bakery has extended its fleet with new vehicles from Wrexham truck specialist AN Richards.
Henllan Bakery has taken delivery of three MAN TGE Flatframe Chassis Cowl vans with a box body – the first of their type to be handed over in the UK, according to AN Richards.
The company worked closely with Truck Craft Bodies, which built the vans’ box bodies, and Henllan to create a vehicle that “totally fits the bill”. Floorspace is maximised as the standard wheelbase has the capacity to carry 224 baskets and the long wheelbase has a capacity of 262.
It takes the total number of MAN TGEs in Henllan’s fleet to six, with Henllan reporting “fantastic returns on MPG” for its three-panel vans already in operation.
“We are really pleased with the vehicles and they are performing exceptionally well, with these three utilising the maximum capacity for our delivery runs,” said Henllan Bakery director Ed Moore.
Earlier this year, family-run Henllan Bakery opened a second production facility in Denbigh to produce cakes and biscuits.
