Cornish business Warrens Bakery has launched a healthy menu delivery app for Plymouth-based Derriford Hospital to offer support to the medical team and staff.
The new app, ‘Fresh From Warrens On the Go’ which is now available for both Android and IPhone users, will deliver a menu of fresh and healthy options directly to wards to save time walking through hospital corridors.
Staff can enjoy the benefits of a varied menu, from wholesome lunchtime soups, vitamin-boosting smoothies, salads and freshly made sandwiches.
The app allows users to pre-order their lunch via the app, selecting a pre-appointed collection point near their ward where the Fresh From Warrens team will bring their order. For those who cannot make the collection times, there are drop-off points available around the hospital too.
Mark Sullivan, chairman of Warrens Bakery, said the company recognised the need within Derriford Hospital for another level of convenience, which its new app can provide.
“We hope that our fresh delivery service app means hard-working staff can collect something tasty mid-shift, without having to traipse across the building to do so,” Sullivan said.
“We have made sure that there are plenty of fresh and healthy options on the menu so that hospital staff and visitors can expect to enjoy a reliably nourishing delivery, which is quick and simple to use.”
The app is free to use, with no minimum order and all new users will receive 50% off their first order.
