The Baking Industry Awards is the biggest night in the baking industry calendar – and we’ve got the pictures to prove it!

Hundreds of guests – including many of the top figures from the UK’s biggest bakery manufacturers, suppliers and retailers – gathered at the Royal Lancaster hotel in London on Wednesday (4 September).

Kicking off with a drinks reception, followed by a glittering awards ceremony hosted by former Pussycat Doll and Strictly Come Dancing finalist Ashley Roberts, the dancing, fun and networking carried on into the wee hours.

Ailish Adams and Aidan Monks of Lovingly Artisan collect the Bakery Innovation of the Year award from Ashley Roberts and Alan Black, head of foodservice marketing at award category sponsor Stork.


Gary Reeve was presented with the The Craft Bakery Business Award by Ashley Roberts and Steven Verweij, president of Europe & AMEAP at awards category sponsor Dawn Foods.

Wrights Food group chairman and CEO Peter Wright was presented with the Bakery Manufacturer of the Year award by Ashley Roberts and James Fitch, bakery sales manager for UK & Ireland at awards category sponsor Reiser.

Stevan Taylor, owner of Taylors Artisan Free-From Bakers & Pie Makers, was presented with the Free-from Bakery product of the Year award by Ashley Roberts and Alan MacDougall, regional sales manager for UK & Ireland at awards category sponsor Ingredion.


Marks & Spencer’s Rabah Kherroubi was presented with the Supermarket Bakery Business of the Year award by Ashley Roberts and Peter Drew, marketing & innovation director at awards category sponsor Lantmannen Unibake UK.
