British Baker is pleased to announce that Christine Hamilton will be the special guest at the Bakers’ and Butchers’ Fair Spring 2013.
Star of ITV1’s I’m a Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! and wife to former MP Neil Hamilton, Christine will be attending the biannual event, organised by British Baker and its sister title Meat Trades Journal, which takes place on Sunday 7 April at the Three Counties Showground in Malvern, Worcestershire.
Martyn Leek, editor of British Baker, said: “I’m pleased to welcome Christine to the first of our Fairs in April. She will be a great addition to the programme of live stage demonstrations taking place on the day, alongside exhibitors showcasing their latest products to the industry. Remember to register online for free before the event to avoid any disappointment on the day.”
The National Association of Master Bakers (NAMB) will also be judging entries into its annual bakery competition at the Fair.
As part of the competition, a new Young Trainee category has been added, which is open to any trainee baker who has been working in the industry for less than 18 months.
Mike Holling, who will be the NAMB’s new executive director in May, told British Baker: “We decided to launch this new category to recognise the young bakers that have just come into the industry. They will be the future of the craft baking industry and, by taking part in the competition, they will have the opportunity to meet some of the most experienced bakery judges who can share their wealth of knowledge.”
Fair attendees will have opportunity to score entries in California Raisins’ Bakery Competition, in which competing bakers will have the chance to win a trip to California and Las Vegas.
