Meet the businesses, people and products that made a splash at the 2018 Baking Industry Awards.
Once again, British Baker’s Baking Industry Awards has recognised and honoured the dedicated individuals, innovative products and inspirational businesses that make this industry so great.
Many of the biggest names in bakery gathered at the London Hilton on Park Lane this month for the glittering oceanic-themed awards ceremony.
With a little help from representatives of our category sponsors – without whom this fabulous event would not be possible – host Stephen Mulhern presented the awards across 10 categories including Baker of the Year, Supermarket Bakery Business of the Year and Outstanding Contribution to the Baking Industry.
The ceremony marked the culmination of months of judging up and down the country as experts took part in tastings, store visits and interviews to select those who would take home a coveted Baking Industry Awards trophy.
“Thank you to all those who have made the awards the biggest night in the baking industry calendar,” said British Baker editor Vince Bamford. “Without our sponsors, our expert judges and, of course, the bakers and businesses who enter the awards, this event could not happen.
“Once again, we have had the great pleasure of highlighting the passion, creativity and care that makes this fantastic industry what it is.”
