Signs were put up yesterday at the Applegreen service station located on the M1 just outside Lisburn, advertising a Greggs shop.

Greggs opened its first location at Applegreen last year and, earlier this month, the high street bakery submitted a planning application for its third outlet in Belfast city centre.

The bakery giant is eyeing as many as 50 locations across Northern Ireland, with around 10 in Belfast alone. Greggs has 1,670 stores located across Britain.
