Doughnut retailer, Krispy Kreme, has started an expansion drive across Scotland, after opening a factory shop in Edinburgh in February 2013.
The company, which has 51 outlets in total across the UK, told British Baker that it was now looking for retail opportunities in cities and towns in Scotland.
Judith Denby, chief marketing officer at Krispy Kreme UK, commented: “We have been overwhelmed by the reaction to our Scottish presence so far, and with the potential expansion of retail outlets, we’re looking forward to delighting more customers over the coming months.”
Krispy Kreme has already rolled out doughnut cabinets in Tesco Dundee Extra Riverside, Tesco Dundee Extra Kingsway and Tesco Perth Extra.
A Facebook page, ‘Bring Krispy Kreme to Scotland’, has 3,479 likes.
An Original Glazed Dozen doughnuts from Krispy Kreme costs £8.95, an Assorted Dozen (a selection of 12 best-sellers) costs £10.45 or a Choose Your Own Dozen costs £11.45.
