Greggs has appointed Allison Kirkby as an independent non-executive director, with effect from 30 January 2013.
The board also intends that Kirkby, who is currently chief financial officer of global media production company Shine Group, will take over as chair of the audit committee.
Current chair Ian Durant is due to be appointed board chairman at the Annual General Meeting on 15 May 2013, with Kirkby to take over from this date.
Kirkby’s previous roles include executive director of finance operations and transformation at Virgin Media, as well as various senior financial and operational positions at Procter & Gamble.
