Subway has announced plans to open a further 69 new stores at Euro Garages by 2016 in a move which looks set to create around 700 new jobs.
Euro Garages already owns and operates 31 Subway stores across the UK, and the planned number of new openings would take the total to 100.
Subway said Euro Garages had seen significant success with the brand and, having acquired 45 forecourt sites from ESSO in January, will target these locations as part of its on-going expansion plans across the North East, Yorkshire and the North West.
Trevor Haynes, area development manager, Subway UK and Ireland, said: "The forecourt and convenience sector is a key area of growth for the Subway brand.
"We have had a very long and successful relationship with Euro Garages and are looking to build on this with future store roll-outs.
Ilyas Munshi, commercial director, Euro Garages, said: "We already own and operate a considerable number of Subway stores across our existing estate and our investment in the brand has been a huge success.
Earlier this year Subway announced a partnership with Ireland-based independent forecourt retailer Applegreen is to launch further stores across the UK and Ireland.
