Pukka Pies has appointed Rachel Cranston as head of marketing.
Cranston joins Pukka Pies from Alpro, where she spent seven years working across marketing roles to her most recent position as senior marketing manager.
In her new position at Pukka, Cranston will be responsible for driving the business’ three-year growth strategy to sell ‘more pies to more people, more often’.
As part of the leadership team, she will lead marketing and innovation to drive further growth for the brand.
“It’s an exciting time to join Pukka Pies, as they continue their three-year growth phase,” said Cranston.
“Pukka is an inspiring family-owned business, which continues to drive the hot pie category’s positive performance. I’m looking forward to taking the brand forward on the next stage of its journey.”
The appointment comes after plenty of NPD from Pukka. In 2017 it unveiled an £8m brand relaunch and rolled out its Posher Pukka premium grocery range. Last year it expanded its range with frozen and chilled sharing pies as well as targeting convenience with the launch of savoury pastries dedicated to on-the-go eating occasions. Earlier this month it gained listings for three lines at Waitrose.
