Global bakery business Arzyta Food Solutions has launched an Afternoon Tea range in time for Afternoon Tea Week (14-20 August).
The four-strong range, which comprises a Goji Berry Tea Loaf, Gluten & Dairy-Free Lemon, Mini Gluten-Free Scones and Mini Gluten-Free Afternoon Tea Cakes, has been unveiled in a bid to make catering for special dietary requirements “a piece of cake”, according to Aryzta.
“The rise of special diets is frequently hitting the headlines with the demand for gluten-free goods higher than ever and a burgeoning market place for lactose-free,” said Aryzta’s head of marketing Paul Whitely.
“Our new products have been specifically developed to help caterers target these crucial areas. Sweetened with tea-soaked fruit and honey, the Goji Berry loaf will appeal to the health-conscious consumer still looking for an indulgent treat. Meanwhile, offering gluten-free and dairy-free options will give outlets a significant edge over their competitors.”
Mintel figures revealed that 80% of Brits enjoy a slice of cake, with 50% doing so during the afternoon.
