In-store bakery specialist Aryzta Food Solutions has expanded it Otis range with a Halloween Muffin.
Available from 18 September, the new product is a chocolate muffin with vanilla cream, topped with a pumpkin-shaped decoration and wrapped in a Halloween-themed case.
The Otis range offers American-style sweet baked goods to the retail market, and comprises products such as cookies, muffins and doughnuts.
“Halloween is fast-becoming a major seasonal occasion for retailers, with demand for Halloween-themed treats on the rise,” said Paul Whitely, head of marketing at Aryzta Food Solutions.
“It’s the perfect excuse for consumers to celebrate, with young consumers proving key to its success; research shows that millennials who grew up celebrating Halloween are buying more items and spending more on average than other generations.
“Our new Otis Halloween Muffin taps into this demand, with a treat that can be enjoyed by shoppers of all ages,” added Whitely.
The Otis Halloween Muffin will be available in cases of 30 (rrp £1 each) and supplied frozen for thaw and serve.
Last month, Aryzta announced plans to raise £715m in capital as looks to strengthen its presence in the frozen bakery market.
