Lancashire based- craft bakery, Clayton Park Bakery has recalled some of its sausage roll products with a Best Before date of 3 and 4 August as they may contain plastic.
James Hall and Co Ltd, the company which owns Clayton Park Bakery, has issued a recall notice to relevant bakery stores, as well as Spar stores in north England and north Wales which also sold the products.
The recalled details of the products are: the large pack of sausage rolls at 143g, 2 Pack Sausage Rolls at 236g, 3 Pack Sausage Rolls at 354g and 16 Pack Mini Sausage Rolls sold at Spar stores at 472g.
The presence of plastic could make these products unsafe to eat and presents a risk to health for consumers.
The Food Standards Agency (FSA) has advised customers who have purchased the products not to eat them, but instead return them to the store where they were bought for a full refund. If anybody has any concerns, they should contact Clayton Park Bakery on 01524 393200.
