Welsh flapjack brand Brynmor has gained listings for two new protein flapjacks in Ocado.
The Brynmor Salted Caramel Protein and Brynmor Golden Syrup Protein, which boast 10g of protein per bar, are to be sold in three-bar multipacks via Ocado from June. They will sit under the regional Welsh Shop section on the website.
Both 52g protein flapjacks were added to Brynmor’s portfolio at the start of March alongside an 80g Brynmor Golden Syrup flapjack. Other variants in the 15-strong range include Apricot & Almond, Summer Berry, Cashew & Coconut and Pistachio.
All the products are gluten- and wheat-free, provide a source of fibre and are suitable for vegetarians. Some are suitable for vegans.
Brynmor flapjacks were developed as a rebrand of own-label products from parent company Wholebake with NPD, branding and packaging created for their release in the UK at the start of the year. The Brynmor name, which means ‘great hill’, highlights the Welsh provenance of the flapjacks.
“The flapjack category is experiencing double-digit year-on-year growth and this offers an exciting opportunity to launch our wonderful brand,” said brand manager Kendra Jones.
“From a filling breakfast on the go, to a snack at the peak of adventure or a delicious mid-afternoon treat, Brynmor flapjacks have wide appeal to consumers who value healthier and quality snacks.”
