Bread products and freeze-dried foods supplier Chaucer Food Group has announced a partnership with olive oil brand Filippo Berio to develop a new baked snacks range.
Due to launch in the UK later this year, the Crostini line will be available in five new flavours including fennel & garlic, formaggio (cheese flavour), lightly sea salted, rosemary & sea salt, and sundried tomato.
The range contains 30% less fat than snacks such as fried crisps and are free from artificial additives.
Grant Walsh, sales director of Chaucer Foods, said the company was extremely happy to announce its new agreement with Filippo Berio.
“Partnering with the leading olive oil brand in the UK will be an exciting step for Chaucer Food Group, allowing us to tap into a new pool of fans by introducing a delicious range of snacks with such a well-known and trusted brand.”
Walter Zanre, UK managing director at Filippo Berio, said the company had a long ambition to bring to market a snacking product.
“With Chaucer we have found a partner that has developed a range of fantastic-tasting products,” Zanre said.
