The ringing of Christmas bells is getting louder as bakery brands begin unveiling their festive selection.

We’ve already seen a host of trend-led NPD from most of the supermarkets, with Tesco, Asda and Ocado first, closely followed by Co-op, Fortnum & Mason and Waitrose and, lastly, Aldi and Booths.

Now it’s the turn of the nation’s bakery brands to show off their selection of festive baked goods. There’s iced biscuits, loads of panettone, vegan pastries and lots more.

Biscuiteers

Iced-biscuit specialist Biscuiteers has launched the Limited Edition Advent Collection, complete with a cloth calendar created exclusively for the brand by Sophie Conran. The items can be purchased together (rsp £175, pictured) or the Advent 24 Luxe biscuit tin can be purchased alone (rsp £58).

Also new for this year is the Merry & Bright biscuit tin (rsp £35), which includes 12 biscuits iced in silver and blue tones.

The NPD is joined by favourites from previous years, including the Nutcracker biscuit tin (rsp £35) and The Snowman biscuit tin (rsp £37.50).

Carluccio’s

This year, Carluccio’s has released new packaging for all its Christmas lines, as well as new products. The new Panettone Allo Spritz (rsp £9.95) comprises a panettone piped with a sweet and tangy spritz filling, with orange notes and covered in dark chocolate.

In its regional cakes and biscuits category, the brand has unveiled the Limone A Gogo (rsp £35, pictured left) gift box, which includes lemon fettucce, lemon oil, lemon-infused olives, lemon baci biscuits and lemon torrone. In the confectionery category it has launched Gigantini (rsp £11.95), a set of three Tuscan cakes, including panforte bianco, panforte nero with cocoa and pampepato with a Christmas-inspired flavour.

Central Foods

Central Foods has launched a new vegan vegetable tart for Christmas menus. Menuserve Mediterranean Vegetable Tart is supplied frozen and ready to bake and comprises a basil pastry case filled with a slow-roasted tomato sauce, topped with grilled courgettes, red and yellow peppers, red onions and cherry tomatoes, finished with a crunchy basil and pumpkin seed crumb.

Country Choice

Festive NPD from Country Choice includes the Christmas Jammy Shortbreads – individually wrapped jam-filled biscuits decorated with a Christmas bell or Christmas tree, individual Chocolate Yule Cakes (pictured right), bite-sized Orange Funtime Doughnuts (pictured left) and Crumble Topped Mince Pies. These items join the existing festive range from Country Choice, which includes three varieties of mince pie, marshmallow-topped biscuits and festive bakes.

Gradz Bakery

Gradz Bakery has launched two new products for Christmas this year. Stollen Twist and Gradz Gingerbread (pictured) will be available at Ocado and delis across the UK only two weeks before Christmas Day, with an rsp of £6 each. The Stollen Twist is a traditional German sweet bread, filled with marzipan, dried fruit, citrus peel and cinnamon, while the Gradz Gingerbread is a light, spiced sponge with a layer of blended berries and fruit in the centre and topped with glossy dark chocolate.

LillyPuds

LillyPuds has launched an alcohol-free Christmas pudding and a Christmas pudding made without nuts to cater for special diets this Christmas. The Alcohol-Free Christmas Pudding combines all of the usual ingredients with fruit juice and alcohol-free beer for flavour. The Without Nuts Christmas Pudding uses the traditional recipe without the addition of ground almonds. They are available in two sizes: 454g, which has an rsp of £12.75, and 2x120g, which has an rsp of £8.75.

Poilâne

French-style bakery Poilâne has unveiled a range of treats including gingerbread men (pictured right), garland butter cookies (pictured left), reindeer cookies and a yule cake (pictured centre) for Christmas 2019. It will also be offering two curated hampers: The Little House Hamper (rsp £10), which includes reindeer cookies and garland biscuits, and The Family House Hamper (rsp £42), which includes gingerbread men, granola bars, two packs of reindeer cookies and a box of Poilâne Punitions.

Mindful Bites

Plant-based foods brand Mindful Bites is launching a trio of vegan panettones for Christmas this year. The NPD, called Veganettone, is available in three variants: Classic, Chocolate and Mixed Berries. They are made following Italian artisanal traditions, using sourdough, and are available in a traditional family format (500g, pictured), a miniature version (100g) and in a gift box containing all three variants in miniature.
