Clayton Park Bakery has supplied close to 1,000 pies to football club Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The Lancashire-based baker provides the match-day pies for North End’s home games, and the bakery was asked by Wolves to send close to 1,000 potato and meat and butter pies for the 11 January.
Brian Ashworth, general manager at Clayton Park Bakery, said: “They say an army marches on its stomach and with 3,500 Preston fans making the trip to Wolves we are delighted to be feeding them.
“North End’s away support has been incredible over the past few weeks, so it’s nice to give them a little taste of Deepdale on the road and, hopefully, help make it another successful away-day.”
Clayton Park Bakery, which makes a range of hand-crafted pies, cakes and morning goods in two units near Accrington, supplies match-day pies and bread products to clubs across the north west, including Liverpool, Everton, Blackburn Rovers, Bolton Wanderers, Oldham Athletic, Rochdale and Accrington Stanley.
