Dawn Foods collected a silver award for its Premium Caramel-Lace Donut at the annual British Frozen Food Federation awards, held at Park Lane Hilton, London last week.
The award, presented to Dawn Foods’ senior national account manager Andy Henderson, was in the Best New Bakery Product Foodservice category.
The Caramel-Lace Donut is part of Dawn’s range of Premium Ready to Use Donuts, with a ‘light fluffy texture, an eye-catchingly rich and appetising topping, and a delicious end to end satisfying filling’, according to Dawn.
Jacqui Passmore, marketing manager for Dawn Foods, said the company was thrilled to have won silver for this product.
“The Caramel-Lace Donut is coated in vanilla icing and caramel sauce with a gooey caramel surprise inside,” she said. “Supplied frozen, it’s perfect for all kinds of foodservice and bakery outlets. No wonder the judges liked it.
“It was a proud moment for Andy to collect the award on behalf of Dawn Foods and great recognition for all his efforts in the foodservice channel.”
French manufacturer Mademoiselle Desserts, which acquired Somerset-based Ministry of Cake in January, took gold for its Carrot Cake Roulade in the Best New Ice Cream/Dessert/Confectionery Product category.
