There were clear winners and losers in The Grocer Own Label Food & Drink Awards, with the discounters drawing in top place with Asda.
Lidl, Aldi and Asda all took awards for 13 own-label products apiece out of a total 69 gold wins followed by Tesco with 12.
Marks & Spencer (M&S) fell squarely in the middle with eight wins while the Co-operative (five), Iceland (two), Costcutter (1), Spar (1) and Morrisons (1) brought up the rear.
It was a similar story in bakery-only items with Aldi scoring most wins with four. Asda and M&S shared second place with three, followed by Lidl with two and Asda, the Co-operative and Tesco each scored one.
