London-based artisan doughnut concept Crosstown Doughnuts has launched a trio of new products for summer.
A chocolate cinnamon scroll with passion fruit curd and Tongan vanilla glaze joins the selection available at the Piccadilly, Leather Lane and Broadway Market stores. Described as the “glamorous tropical cousin” of the popular cinnamon scroll variety, it aims to put “a little zing into your daily routine”.
Also joining the counters is an orange blossom cake doughnut with date filling and cardamom crumble and a Yorkshire rhubarb and raspberry compôte with toasted Italian meringue.
The chocolate, jam and coconut Lamnut, inspired by the traditional Australian cake, is now available at every doughnut bar and selected stockists.
Crosstown doughnuts are also available at Rough Trade East on Brick Lane in Shoreditch and at Black Lyan, the daytime pop-up of bar White Lyan in Hoxton Street for two weeks only.
Last month Crosstown announced its first permanent store opening in Soho this spring.
