Dr Zak’s, the high-protein food producer, has developed what it claims is the first high-protein bagel.
The health brand said the bagel contains 24g of protein, and 40% less carbohydrate than a standard wholemeal bagel.
Dr Zak’s managing director Ray Brilus said: “We are very excited to launch our high-protein bagels. It has taken almost 12 months of development to get to this day, and our loyal followers have been patiently waiting while we perfected them. I can assure them it will have been worth the wait.”
The bagels are available in two flavours: multigrain and seeds, and cinnamon and raisin.
They are available to buy online from 8 December, and will be stocked in retailers nationwide from January next year.
