Morrisons has crafted an eye-catching range of bakery items to make it a Christmas full of joy this year.
Helping improves the festive aesthetics are decorative elements such as pastry stars and holly sprigs while other items have been fashioned into the shape of trees, wreaths, and snowflakes.
Seasonal flavours such as berries and caramel are utilised, as are twists on classic Italian, French and German recipes. And cuisines from further afield such as south and east Asia and Mexico have also been warmly embraced.

Brie & Harrisa Roasted Carrot Galette
The retailer declared it is proudly supporting British farmers in it’s selection of ‘main event’ offerings this yuletide. This includes a new vegetarian galette featuring golden puff pastry generously filled with harissa and honey roasted carrots, sweet potato, brie, and roasted red onion, finished with a crispy crumb topping.

Apple & Cranberry Melt In The Middle Stuffing
Under its newly launched ‘Signature Collection’ premium tier within its flagship ‘The Best’ range, this pastry-topped stuffing is handmade and made from British pork seasoned with hickory smoked salt, applewood smoked pepper, and British sage. Its centre contains a fruity filling of apple and cranberry, while the all butter pastry topping is designed to look like a golden Christmas pudding with holly sprig.

Chocolate Praline Star
A new premium dessert option for the Christmas table comprises Belgian chocolate ganache filled with hazelnut praline on rich syrup-soaked chocolate sponge, with a crisp hazelnut praline and wafer base.

Black Forest Profiterlog
Combining classic German and French recipes into a festive format, this cake is made with chocolate sponge filled with cream and morello cherry jam, covered with chocolate fudge, and finished with cream-filled choux profiteroles, Belgian chocolate sauce, and shortcake balls.

Winter Berry Topped Baked Cheesecake
A rich and creamy Basque-style baked cheesecake topped with strawberry jam and a mix of cranberries, blackberries and redcurrants.

Available at Morrisons Market Street delis, these puff pastry Christmas trees are filled with crème patisserie, fruit compote and topped with fresh cream and fruit.

Another baked cheesecake, this time with Sicilian lemon curd on a butter enriched biscuit base and finished with a torched mallow meringue.

On to sweet treats now, and these new tarts have all butter pastry cases with a ginger sponge, filled with a caramel sauce and buttercream. Topped with biscuit crumb and a sweet dusting.

Limoncello Panettone
Morrisons has taken its indulgently buttery panettone recipe and infused it with limoncello syrup and studded it with candied citrus peel. It recommends finishing at home with a dusting of icing sugar.

Prawn Coconut Curry Doughnuts with Dip
Multiple Asian cuisines are embraced in these new doughnuts comprising chopped king prawns with vegetables in a spiced coconut seasoning encased in a bao bun pastry topped by coconut flakes – served with a curry dip.

Barbacoa Style Chicken Empanadas with Salsa Roja
Staying on the global trend are these new mini empanadas stuffed with chicken slow cooked in Mexican spices, served with a fire roasted red pepper and habanero chilli sauce.
