Finsbury Food Group has introduced three new licensed character cakes from Batman, Paw Patrol and My Little Pony.
All three new cakes are now available in major retailers including Asda and Tesco.
“The launch of the trio of new cakes marks the start of a big year of exciting character cake launches for Finsbury - by some distance the market leader in licensed branded cakes,” said the manufacturer, which works with licensors including Disney, Nickelodeon, Carte Blanche, Warner Brothers and Entertainment One.
Natalie Nairn, brand manager at Finsbury, said: “We’ve had a lot of fun creating these new designs, with our team of expert cake designers and specialised bakers working closely with licensors to ensure each cake delivers stunning visual appeal, as well as the great taste that customers and consumers have come to expect from us.”
She added that, during the course of the next year, the company will launch character cakes allied to major film and TV releases, including Cars 3 and Spiderman.
The new cakes are:
- Batman celebration cake: With a vibrant stencil of the superhero and the Batman logo, which can be removed and used as a poster.
- Paw Patrol large celebration cake: A larger version of the original Paw Patrol celebration cake, introduced to provide consumers with the option of more servings. It features a hand-moulded fire truck designed by the Finsbury team to create a party centrepiece.
- My Little Pony large cake: Featuring two of the most popular characters, Princess Twilight Sparkle and Fluttershy. Finsbury’s original My Little Pony cake is one of the best-performing cakes within the girl’s celebration cake category.
