Free-from manufacturer Free’ist has upped its production in response to retailers expanding offerings.
The Belfast-based firm has launched two new free-from sugar-free breakfast biscuits, along with sugar-free marshmallows and popcorn.
The new products, the outcome of a research and development programme by the company, join a portfolio that also includes other free-from foods, such as jams, biscuits, cookies and chocolates.
Gerard McAdorey, managing director and founder of Free’ist, said: “The popularity of our initial range in the fast-moving free-from category encouraged us to invest in the development of additional products to meet specific market opportunities that we’ve identified in discussions with key retailers.
“We’ve maintained our focus on offering customers products with exceptional taste that are also a free-from option.
“The new products have all been influenced by retailers that are expanding their free-from offerings to meet market demand from customers seeking sugar-, gluten- and fat-free foods that don’t compromise on taste.”
The new products have already been listed by key retailers in Ireland, including Tesco Ireland and Henderson’s, and the company is in advanced discussions with a number of other leading retailers.
