Hong Kong-style roast duck, Korean-style pork belly, slow-cooked beef, and even Biscoff spread are featured in the limited-edition creations marking British Sandwich Week 2026.
The latest edition of the annual week-long event organised by the British Sandwich & Food To Go Association runs from 18 to 24 May this year.
Below are examples of new sandwiches, wraps and toasties unveiled by retail brands, restaurants, and pubs during the week:

Lotus wrap, Bayt Sajj
Branded inclusions are powerful in the sweet bakery market, with Lebanese flatbread specialist Bayt Sajj jumping aboard the trend for sandwich week.
The business in Holborn, central London has taken its authentic sajj bread, baked fresh on-site daily, and smothered it with Biscoff spread before crumbling over crushed Biscoff biscuits. If sweet sandwiches (or rather wraps) are your thing, there’s also the Dubai Chocolate wrap available.

Bistro Sablé
Transporting Londoners to Paris for sandwich week – whilst staying in Islington – is the new Croque Madame at Bistro Sablé. Available at lunchtime, it features layers of quality cured ham, melted Gruyère and rich béchamel tucked inside toasted bread slices, with a perfectly set fried egg on top.

Café Mama & Sons x Mama Li
Filipino bakery Café Mama & Sons in Kentish Town, northwest London, has teamed up with Cantonese restaurant Mama Li to create something seriously tasty for sandwich week: the Adobo Duck Sandwich.
Available for one week only, it features Mama Li’s authentic Siu Mei Duck – aromatically spiced and dried for 48 hours before roasting – with crispy onions and fresh cucumber, all tucked into Café Mama’s house-made pandesal bread.

Pork, sausage & kimchi sandwich, Rogue Sarnies
This premium sandwich specialist – operating under railway arches in Bethnal Green, east London – has conjured up a limited-edition item: The Korean Porker. Inside Rogue’s signature bread, freshly baked in-house, it crams crispy-fried Korean pork pâté and sausage-stuffed pork belly, homemade kimchi, garlic mayo, cucumber, coriander, toasted nori, and sesame salt.

Beef & horseradish toastie, The George
A mighty toastie made with slices of Hackney Wild Loaf from E5 Bakehouse is gracing the menu of The George pub on Great Portland Street in Fitzrovia, central London.
It is packed with slow-cooked beef trimmings, horseradish, and Cheddar, and accompanied by a wild garlic mayo.

Kimchi & cheese toastie, The Montagu Arms Hotel
Finally, we get out into the countryside and to the edge of the New Forest in Hampshire. The Montagu Arms Hotel held a friendly competition between its chefs to find a champion sandwich to feature on its menu during sandwich week. Instagram followers judged chef Ben to be the winner with his kimchi, cheese and spring onion toastie on sourdough bread, served with gochujang mayonnaise.
Other chef-led sandwich contenders included focaccia filled with mortadella and buffalo mozzarella, 24-brined fried chicken with smoky yellow romesco sauce on toasted brioche, and mint lamb kofta patty with cucumber yoghurt on focaccia.
