Greggs Delivered, the new delivery service from the food-to-go retailer, is being trialled in London from today (Monday 16 January).
The delivery service has been trialled across Newcastle city centre, but has now extended to selected Greggs stores in Cheapside and Eastcheap.
Raymond Reynolds, retail director at Greggs, said the business was “extremely excited to offer delivery of a selection of our great-tasting, freshly prepared food directly to our customers in the two stores in London”.
The service delivers to offices and homes free of charge, and offers a range of freshly prepared sandwiches, salads, sweet treats, snacks, cold drinks and savouries.
To order, customers need to visit the Greggs website and select their location. Orders require a minimum spend of £20 and must be placed before 5pm for next-day delivery between 10am and 12pm.
The delivery radius between the two new London stores is just 0.4 miles, with further trial locations planned throughout 2017.
Greggs is due to announce its fourth-quarter trading update tomorrow (17 January).
