Gluten-free bakery Honeybuns has expanded its New Generation cake range with two new flavours – Oaty Coconut bar and Oaty Apricot bar.
The two variants will be available from January 2017 in a new narrow individually wrapped 56g size, as well as 950g traybakes.
The flapjacks will join the recently launched Squillionaire and Fruity Nut Bar in the new cake range.
The range addresses increasing demand for a healthier treat that is gluten-free and low in refined sugar, said the company.
Oaty Coconut bar is a slow-baked flapjack made with virgin coconut oil and has a flavour of coconut and caramel, while the Oaty Apricot bar is also a slow-baked flapjack made with apricot purée and topped with toasted pumpkin seeds.
Emma Goss-Custard, founder and owner of Honeybuns, said: “We have lots of exciting recipe ideas we are testing in our NPD kitchen, and plans are to grow the New Generation range even more in the next couple of years.”
The New Generation range is available nationally from Bidvest Foodservice, and is also stocked at major retailer John Lewis.
