An independent bakery and confectionery business, Bradford-based Marshall Bakers, is to trade in Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire, following the closure of Waites.
Marshall will trade from the Waites shop, and it is hoping to open for business in the coming weeks.
A statement on Waites’ Facebook page said: “They are a family-run business like we were, so I hope you can all support them like you’ve supported us over the years.”
Sadness greeted last week’s news that the Calder Valley bakery would not be re-opening, after it was hit twice by flooding.
