Konditor is targeting consumers following a plant-based diet with the launch of its first vegan peanut butter brownie.
Described as “indulgent”, the handmade treat is made with eight ingredients, including soya milk, wheat flour, dark chocolate and caster sugar, and is swirled with real peanut butter.
Individual slices cost £2.95, while boxes of four and 12 retail for £10 and £36 respectively.
“Following on from the popularity of our Vegan Chocolate Raspberry Velvet Cake and the marked increased demand for delicious plant-based treats, we decided to expand our vegan range to our popular brownies,” said Konditor founder, Gerhard Jenne.
The news comes after Konditor opened a sixth site at Bow Lane in Bank, London last month.
The business also recently unveiled a range of off-the-shelf wedding cakes, and launched a Corporate Cake Club enabling companies to order personalised cakes for employees’ birthdays.
