The Lewis Pie and Pasty Company has relaunched its bakery branch of the business.
Following substantial redevelopment at the company’s premises in Swansea, South Wales, The Lewis Bakery has been launched.
The firm said the new venture was “designed to provide consultations to both public and corporate customers on bespoke bakery products”. It added: “The relaunch of the bakery has come as a result of a business move towards a more professional, individualist and high-quality product offering.”
The products provided by the bakery include artisan breads, large corporate cakes and wedding cakes, as well as a variety of cupcakes, pastries and café-style treats.
The Lewis Bakery has a focus on traditional bakery methods, and there is also an emphasis on sourcing local ingredients from local suppliers.
Personable approach
Matthew Ebenezer, bakery operations manager at The Lewis Bakery, said: “We want to provide a more personable approach to our customers through the products we provide them with, which is why an open consultation room has been added to the bakery, so our bakers really understand what the customer wants.”
Wilf Lewis, commercial director of The Lewis Pie and Pasty Company, added: “We have identified a clear need for high-quality, premium products made with local ingredients by professionals with years of experience. This is exactly what we can provide to the current market, with the addition of a personal approach.”
Last month, renowned Welsh chef Michael Knight partnered with The Lewis Pies and Pasty Company to lend his expertise to the firm’s new range of premium products.
