Lancaster London hotel has devised an afternoon tea for those who know their Monet from their Picasso.
The innovative ARTea, which starts from £35, will be served to guests in the lounge of Lancaster London, where the work of emerging and local artists grace the walls in celebration of the hotel’s affinity with London’s thriving art scene.
Waiters will serve guests in painters’ aprons with dishes served in painting boxes. Treats include finger sandwiches, pastries and freshly baked scones, plus small edible canvasses, all of which will be served on painting slates alongside jam and clotted cream in 30ml paint tubes. Even the menu is edible.
The whole tea will be made in-house by executive head chef Ben Purton, who appeared on BBC’s Masterchef in 2013.
