Vegetable base pizza manufacturer Magioni has secured listings in Waitrose for three of its new topped pizzas.
Arriving in November, the line-up comprises three flavours: Oh So Funghi, Pitza Falafel and Shredded BBQ Beef.
Made with less flour, the topped pizzas contain 35% less carbs on average than a standard pizza dough, said the company. They have up to 225g of veggies per pack and are two of your five-a-day portions of fruit and veg.
Magioni has followed the trend for plant-based and vegan food. Two years after it was established in Holland, the brand launched exclusively at Waitrose in the UK, gaining its first listing with a cauliflower pizza base.
Manon Van Essen, founder of Magioni said: “We are so proud to have helped Holland to eat an extra 250 million grams of veggies last year. Now we’re excited for our small brand of young foodies to come to the UK and provide an option for anyone who doesn’t want to choose between healthy eating and one of the nation’s favourite foods.”
The range of topped pizzas will be available from 7 November at Waitrose.
