Sandwiches, wraps, and toasties are among the new bakery items recently added to menus at Morrisons’ 396 cafés nationwide.
“We are pleased to be giving our customers even more reasons to be visiting our cafés,” said Chris Strong, Morrisons café buying manager, noting that the expanded sandwich menu offered “great, quality food at an affordable price”.
New hot options are priced at £4.50 each, while bakery items from the chiller are £4. These can also be purchased as part of an Adult Meal Deal for £6, which includes a sandwich, cake, and hot drink of choice.
Morrisons assured that ‘little ones haven’t been forgotten about either’, unveiling a new ham or cheese kids sandwich costing just £2.50 each – or £3.50 with a snack and drink in the Kids Pick ‘n’ Mix deal.
The hot eats now making their debuts include:
- Meatball Marinara Melt Sub – pork & beef meatballs with mature cheddar and marinara sauce in a semolina topped soft sub roll
- Chargrilled Vegetable & Basil Pesto Panini (vegan) – chargrilled red & yellow peppers and red onions with basil pesto on a rustic ciabatta
