Foodservice supplier Coup de Pates unveiled two new patisserie lines at the Taste of London food festival.
More than 1,400 of the new patisserie products, a Le Tourier Lemon Meringue Tartlet and a Chiboust Cream Tartlet, sold during the Taste of London show last week.
The Le Tourier Lemon Meringue is a pâte sucrée dough filled with lemon cream, finished with a soft meringue topping.
The Chiboust Cream is a sweet pastry case filled with a light crème Normande and apple pieces, topped with a crème chiboust, and finished with glazed brown sugar.
Both were created by Coup de Pates’ artisan pastry chefs and are available to foodservice outlets now.
Warren Wells, commercial director at Aryzta Food Solutions UK, said: “They break new ground in what is possible with frozen patisserie, and visitors were certainly unanimous in their praise both in person and on social media, voting with their wallets and coming back for more.”
Coup de Pates’ new patisserie lines are available fully baked and frozen.
In May Coup de Pates offered student chefs the chance to win tickets to Taste of London.
