New York Bakery Co has added to its range of Bagel Thins with a Tomato & Herb variant.
The bagels are baked with sundried tomato, oregano and basil, are vegan-friendly and contain 117 calories each. NYBC added that they are free from artificial colours and flavours.
Sold in pre-sliced packs of four, they are available in Asda, Waitrose are Ocado with an rsp of £1.00.
“Following on from the successful introduction of Soft Seeded Bagel Thins last year, the new Tomato & Herb Thins will satisfy consumers who are looking for more innovation in healthy bread options,” said Christina Honigfort, head of marketing, New York Bakery Co.
“The NYBCo. Bagel Thins range is in growth 82.6% YoY and our new flavour innovations will drive the continuation of that success. These products will appeal to consumers who crave that delicious chewy taste synonymous with New York Bagels, but want something a little less substantial.”
The wider thins market has suffered from falling sales in recent years with many brands focusing on NPD to lessen the impact. For example, Warburtons rolled out a range of Bistro Deli Buns last year.
