Patisserie Valerie debuts luxury special occasion cakes

Patisserie Valerie has unveiled a seven-strong luxury celebration cake range featuring an array of toppings including edible 24-carat gold leaf and iced sugar flowers.

Each cake in the Signature Collection can be ordered with either a vanilla sponge and a strawberry compote filling, or a chocolate sponge with a chocolate cream filling and five-layer and two-tier varieties are included among the options.

Ranging in price from £75 to £85, each special occasion cake is baked fresh before being frozen, the brand said.

The full selection, which is available for nationwide delivery, comprises:

• Floral Waterfall Cake (£85) – a five-layer sponge coated in shades of lavender and lilac Swiss meringue buttercream and topped with intricate rosettes and sugar pearls.
• Chocolate Floral Waterfall Cake (£85) – a chocolate sponge that has five layers, is filled with dark chocolate cream, and has a chocolate Swiss meringue buttercream coating. It’s also decorated with hand-piped chocolate rosettes and golden sugar pearls.
• Pink & Gold Leaf Marble Cake (£85) – a five-layer soft sponge embellished with edible 24-carat gold leaf and salted caramel and rose macarons.
• Two Tier Fresh Berry Cake (£75) – a two-tier cake finished with fresh strawberries, blackberries, blueberries and raspberries.
• Blue or Pink Ombre Rosette Cake (£75) – a vibrant two-tier cake featuring shades of blue or pink buttercream with delicate hand-piped roses and ombre stripes.
• Naked Blossom Cake (£85) – a five-layer sponge coated in Swiss meringue buttercream and finished with elegant crafted sugar flowers including cherry blossom, white clematis and pink spring blooms.
• Naked Signature Lily Cake (£85) – this floral creation features sugar flowers of rose, white hydrangea, orange lilies, assorted leaves, and buds.

All the cakes serve between 22 and 24 people, except the Blue or Pink Ombre Rosette Cake and Two Tier Fresh Berry Cake, which serve between 16 and 20.

According to the brand, free personalised inscription is also included with each order and glitter cake toppers, candles or balloons can also be added to each box.
