High street patisserie and cake shop Patisserie Valerie has launched a new gluten-free range, which will be available from 18 January.
The growing confectionery chain’s new Gloriously Gluten Free range includes a Belgian chocolate brownie, a marble cake, a flapjack, a chocolate muffin and a ginger biscuit. There is also a gluten-free double chocolate celebration cake, with plans to launch more gluten-free cakes in the future.
Nicola Hedley, group marketing manager, said: “Our customers wanted gluten-free but they still wanted it to be indulgent, and that’s exactly what our Gloriously Gluten Free range is.”
Chief executive Paul May added that there was more in the offing: “This is the first step in expanding our offering to meet dietary needs and we hope that we can cater for everyone in the future.”
There are more than 110 Patisserie Valerie stores nationwide, including concessions with Selfridges and Debenhams. Patisserie Holdings, the company behind a host of high street chains including Patisserie Valerie, delivered another “record” year in 2015, after its underlying profit increased by 22% to £18.8m.
