Patisserie Valerie is to target coeliacs and those suffering with allergies to gluten with a new range of products.
The Birmingham-based firm, which opened its 90th outlet last week in Eastbourne, East Sussex, said its gluten-free chocolate brownie will be the first of many products to come out this year as part of the new line.
Jon Hassall, UK operations director at Patisserie Valerie, said: “Our customers are the ones who buy the products we stock and, ultimately, it’s their reviews that offer the best form of marketing for us, so it is imperative we cater for all of them.
“I’m particularly pleased to be able to deliver a tasty product that is not only gluten-free, but is realistically priced and has already seen a great response from our taste testers. This introduction of the first of many gluten-free products is part of our ongoing menu development and one we are excited about expanding further in the future.”
