Pidy is expanding its Trendy pastry case range with a chocolate variant.
Available in triangle, square and circular-shaped cases, Pidy said the chocolate case offered a greater choice for foodservice applications. They are made from Pidy’s traditional sweet shortcrust pastry with the addition of cocoa powder.
As with other products in Pidy’s range, the cases are ready-to fill and described as “the ideal portion for individual servings”.
The Trendy Shell Triangle is available in 96 pieces, measures 8 x 8 x 8cm and is 1.4cm in height. The Trendy Shell Square measures 7 x 7 x 1.8cm, while the Trendy Shell Round has a diameter of 7cm with a height of 1.8cm. Both are available in 36 or 96 pieces. Assortment packs are also produced.
“The simple effect of shortcrust pastry with a lovely hint of rich cocoa brings so much to the finished outcome of a dessert,” said Fabien Levet, national account manager for foodservice at Pidy UK.
“We are confident that our Trendy range meets every professional’s requirement and the larger size in a chocolate pastry offers even greater opportunity for desserts and pâtisserie offerings.”
The NPD comes a couple of months after the Belgian-based producer added a larger size to its Trendy range of pastry cases. Pidy has also launched organic shortcrust cases this year.
