Holland’s Pies is moving to price-marked packs in convenience stores.
The two top-selling lines – potato and meat pie and steak and kidney pudding – will be available in price-marked packs. The two-pack cartons will be prominently badged up at £2 in what is deemed to be a good fit for the convenience channel.
Bill Smith-Coats, a spokesperson for Holland’s, said: “The launch of our new price-marked packs will only further strengthen our number one position in the individual pie category.
“Price-marked packs are becoming more and more important to the convenience sector, with the majority of branded goods making the move. This clear pricing structure provides transparency to consumers, which creates shopper confidence to buy in this channel.”
Research from him! has shown that 61% of shoppers say that knowing an outlet sells price-marked packs makes them more likely to visit a store.
