London artisan donutterie Dum Dum Doughnuts has rolled out three limited-edition festive-themed treats in the shape of pop culture creature Domo.
The hand-crafted Santa Domonut, Abominable Domonut and Rudolph the Red Nosed Domonut bakery items are on sale at the at the company’s Brick Lane, Box Park and Westfield Stratford City stores until 31 December.
Santa Domonut, a chocolate croissant dough filled with dulce de leche buttercream, is being sold for £3.
The Abominable Domonut, a baked doughnut filled with raspberry buttercream and Rudolph the Red Nosed Domonut, which contains vanilla buttercream and is covered in dark chocolate ganache, are both on sale priced at £2.
Dum Dum Doughnuts claims its handmade baked doughnuts use classic patisserie methods, making them significantly lower in fat than those that are traditionally fried.
“Collaborating with Domo over the holiday season was a no brainer for me,” Paul Hurley, Dum Dum founder said. “He’s fun, original and has plenty of attitude, just like Dum Dum Doughnuts. We’ve really enjoyed developing the Domonut and working out how to recreate Domo’s iconic toothy roar using our unique, patisserie baking technique.”
