St Pierre Groupe has extended its Baker Street range with a 550g Sliced Seeded Loaf designed to appeal to those looking for smaller pack sizes.
The loaf, which has an rsp of £1.79, contains sunflower seeds and linseeds, is high in fibre and a source of protein. It also has a minimum guaranteed shelf life of 35 days to the trade which the company said will benefit both consumers and retailers looking to minimise waste.
It joins the likes of Baker Street’s Sliced White, Seeded Rye, Mega Sourdough Buns and Soft Brown Rolls on shelf. The brand’s value sales are up 80.2% year on year, according to St Pierre Groupe.
“Our insights show that consumers are looking for added value when it comes to sliced breads, as well as smaller pack sizes to reduce food waste,” said Jeremy Gilboy, Founder, St Pierre Groupe.
“The new loaf not only offers retailers the chance to capitalise on these growing sales opportunities, but also to take advantage of the impressive growth of the Baker Street brand, which is currently thriving in the impulse channel with impressive double-digit value sales growth.”
In May, St Pierre Groupe expanded its Paul Hollywood range with four new additions, including a White Country Loaf and Chocolate & Orange Teacakes.
